These Chili Crisp Dumplings are one of the easiest and most satisfying ways to use Yo Amma Indian Chili Crisp. Crispy-bottomed dumplings are tossed in a savory chili crisp sauce that coats every bite with spice, crunch, and bold flavor. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or quick weeknight meal.
Ingredients
4
For the Dumplings
- 1package frozen dumplings or potstickers (about 20–24 dumplings)
- 1 tbspavocado oil
- 1/4 cupwater
For the Chili Crisp Sauce
- 3 tbspYo Amma Indian Chili Crisp
- 2 tbspsoy sauce
- 1 tbsprice wine vinegar
- 1 tsphoney
Instructions
- 1
Heat the avocado oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Arrange the dumplings in a single layer. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the bottoms begin to turn golden brown.
- 2
Carefully add the water to the pan and immediately cover. Steam for 5–6 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through and the water has evaporated. Remove the lid and allow the bottoms to crisp again for 1–2 minutes.
- 3
While the dumplings cook, whisk together the Yo Amma Indian Chili Crisp, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and honey.
- 4
Transfer the hot dumplings to a bowl. Pour over the chili crisp sauce and gently toss until evenly coated.
- 5
Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately. For even more flavor, serve with additional chili crisp on the side for dipping.
Pro Tips
- The best dumplings have both crispy and tender textures. Don't skip the final crisping step after the water evaporates. Those golden bottoms create the perfect contrast to the silky chili crisp sauce. You can use pork, chicken, shrimp, or vegetable dumplings for this recipe.
- Frozen dumplings are one of our favorite weeknight shortcuts. With just a few pantry ingredients and a spoonful of Yo Amma Indian Chili Crisp, they go from freezer staple to restaurant-worthy appetizer in under 15 minutes. The crunchy peanuts, toasted coconut, slow-cooked onions, and Guntur chilies add texture and flavor that traditional dipping sauces simply can't match.
